Nathan Dunahee
Director of Family & Community Relations
Nathan works at Burns & McDonnell as an Environmental Engineer leading the water process group. In addition he chairs a national committee on drinking water. His experience helping others have access to clean drinking water pairs with his love for people as Agape Pamoja expands internationally. Agape Pamoja International was founded in 2020 and assists countries including Kenya, Mozambique, and Tanzania, across the globe to have purified drinking water.
As an “adoptee” into the African community in KC, Nathan serves as a liaison to the families Agape Pamoja serves. In addition he is the relational forerunner with our local, national, and international partners. Nathan’s leadership teaches critical thinking skills and assists refugees to acclimate to their new homeland while still maintaining the many wonderful aspects of culture from their countries of origin.
Krystal Dunahee
Director of Strategic Planning
Krystal’s passion for people and excellence is seen at both her workplace at Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit as well as with Agape Pamoja. She utilizes her experience to plan and implement Agape Pamoja’s various programs, events, and develop youth leaders. As a mom of three teens, understanding and working alongside youth and their parents is a natural fit for her volunteer work in Kansas City.
Affectionately known as “Mama Kisu” by youth in the community, Krystal’s favorite moments are being with students. Her experience as a first generation American-born citizen from her father’s side plays into a personal understanding of the blessing and challenging realities of being immersed in dual cultures and seeing students experience growth.
Brent Gieseke
Director of Project Management
Brent’s profession as a Realtor with Exit Realty and his experience renovating his own home is what sparked his interest in helping with Agape Pamoja as a volunteer. What began as tiling a floor as a volunteer soon grew into seeing the need for acquiring properties for Blessing Houses, the need to maintain them, and the potential to renovate and teach skillsets to youth through them.
Kansas City youth gravitate towards the Agape Pamoja truck driven by Brent whenever spotted in the city. “What projects are we doing?”, “How can I help?” and “Got any snacks or Gatorades in the truck?” are common questions he receives as students approach. Seeing homes and youth lives transformed has been rewarding for Brent, and his own transformation through volunteering has been an unexpected yet very welcome gift.
Lindsay Gieseke
Director of Business Administration
As an Insurance Underwriter and Assistant Vice President with Chubb, Lindsay’s comprehension and tenacity with finances and planning has been invaluable in her volunteer role with Agape Pamoja. Her love for organization and structure has greatly assisted Agape Pamoja during its formation years to become better functioning in its operations and community relations programs.
Known as the queen of her personal planner, Lindsay provides detailed planning to much of what Agape Pamoja does. She is a model to other women that one can serve their community while balancing being a mother, wife and maintaining a full-time job. Her strategy includes thoughtfully creating opportunities in the city that fit her schedule that meets needs within Agape Pamoja’s mission as well as graciously opening her home in Lee’s Summit to many youth for socials and leadership opportunities.
